Mandurah Boat Tours Pty Ltd is the operator of The Pirate Ship vessel, called “The Pirate Ship Mandurah”.

Scam Alert

Due to a number of fraudulent transactions we now require customers to present their credit card that was used for booking upon boarding.

We do not sell tickets on WeChat.

General Terms

All passengers release Pirate Ship Mandurah for any claim whatsoever and howsoever incurred including but not limited to a claim for death, bodily injury, damage or loss of property during embarkation and/or disembarkation to or from the vessel and/or at all times whilst onboard the vessel itself, except to the extent death, bodily injury, damage or loss of property has been caused or contributed to by the negligence of Pirate Ship Mandurah.

The Master of the vessel reserves the right to refuse entry of a passenger onto the vessel and to require a passenger to disembark the vessel in the Master’s sole discretion. The passenger acknowledges that the Master of the vessel has the sole and absolute discretion to vary the scheduled route or destination of the cruise if for any reason the Master of the vessel considers it necessary for the safety and welfare of the vessel, its passengers and crew.

If the cruise is cancelled for any reason by us, including unfavourable weather conditions, mechanical issues or not enough passengers then we will reschedule your booking for a future time if seats are available or offer you a full refund. We reserve the right to make slight alterations to the departure schedule as required to accommodate your trip.

Pricing Policy

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST. Pirate Ship Mandurah reserves the right to alter the prices at any time.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be in writing to [email protected]. Calling, leaving an answer phone message or speaking to the team in person is not an acceptable form of cancellation.

Our policies allow changes, but also reflect the fact Pirate Ship Mandurah may lose the opportunity to sell seats or incur costs if short notice of cancellation is given. Bookings for our “The Pirate Cruise” the "1.5 Hour Sundowner cruise" and the "1.5 Hour scenic lunch cruise" cancelled within 7 days will be offered the opportunity to reschedule only. Passengers that do not show on the day, try to cancel at the last minute or arrive after the cruise has departed will lose their tickets.

Cancellation due to a COVID lockdown or a customers inability to travel will be subject to manual review by us. If you are required to self isolate and it is with in 7 days of your cruise you will be offered to reschedule your cruise to another date within a year.

Christmas Lights cruises 1.5 hour Sunset and Christmas lights cruise and New years eve cruise

Due to the limited availability of these speciality cruises there are no refunds available for any cancellations to our “Christmas Lights cruises and New years eve cruises”. We can offer a voucher for the 45 minute Pirate Cruise to be used with a 1 year validity if 14 days notice is given, we may allow rescheduling at our discretion if availability allows. Rescheduling your scheduled departure date is not allowed once tickets for your cruise are 90% sold.

Private bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit to be secured. Discounts, specials, promotions and third party offers cannot be applied to existing bookings. There can be no changes made to private hires inside of three months this is due to the fact that we lose the ability to sell seats or other private hires.

For refunds on tours that are booked with a credit card, the credit card and online booking fees will not be refunded. Bookings made through third party booking agency's may be subject to additional cancellation fees.

All requests to cancel any of our cruises must be put in writing and emailed through.

COVID-19 Pandemic


We are exempt from the social distancing because of our "Charter Vessel" classification, meaning there is no 2 sqm per person on board. This may change if conditions on the pandemic change in W.A, if we have to reduce passengers to comply with social distancing the customers who were first to purchase tickets will keep their tickets, all customers after the reduced capacity will be offered a refund or if we are able to do so a change of date or time for the cruise.

If we are concerned for our staff members health and safety we reserve the right to cancel all cruises. We will follow all government guidelines of operation relevant to our business. Our staff have completed the COVID-19 Hygiene officer course provided by the government.

Our cancellation policy on all our cruises remains the same during this time. Please note that if you're unable attend because of a government restriction targeting unvaccinated people then you may forfeit your right to a refund.

Dress Code

Please wear appropriate footwear, high heels are not suitable for The Pirate Ship Mandurah or any of our departure jetties. It’s your responsibility to dress appropriately for trips on the water, during summer you will need a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, during winter and night tours throughout the year you will need a warm jacket.

Missing Your Cruise

You must be at the jetty at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. If you arrive after this time, we reserve the right to refuse boarding. We will not offer refunds if you do not show up for your cruise and rescheduling will be at our discretion and based on availability.

During the Trip

Please stay seated at all times throughout the trip unless you are asked to move by a crew member. In the event you need to stand, please ask one of the crew members for assistance beforehand. Never put your arms or legs over the railings or through the gaps in the side of the vessel. Never sit on the railings.

Our crew may take photos during the cruise and will take photographs which may be used in marketing material produced by Pirate Ship Mandurah. If you do not wish to be included in our photographs, please advise the photographer at the time.

Cleaning

If you make an unreasonable mess on the vessel we reserve the right to charge you a minimum of a $150 cleaning fee.

Damage

You will be held liable for any damage caused to the vessel if your actions are not considered fair use or general wear and tear.

Privacy Policy

Pirate Ship Mandurah is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect include: names, addresses, email addresses, phone and facsimile numbers.

This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including interviews, correspondence, by telephone and by email, via our website www.pirateshipmandurah.com.au, from media and publications, from other publicly available sources, from cookies and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

  • For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

Security of Personal Information

Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

Access to your Personal Information

You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.

Pirate Ship Mandurah will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.

In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information

It is an important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We  will  take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.
